🎉 Baytown Resident Wins $3 Million on Scratch-Off Ticket
A Baytown resident is starting the year $3 million richer after winning the top prize in the Texas Lottery’s “30X Supreme” scratch-off game. The winning $30 ticket was purchased at Time Maxx #6 on Decker Drive, and the winner chose to remain anonymous.
This is the third of four $3 million prizes in the game to be claimed, with thousands of other prizes still available statewide. A fun reminder that big wins really do happen close to home — congrats to our lucky neighbor! 🍀
🏛 City of Baytown Council Meeting Recap — January 8, 2026
At its January 8 meeting, Baytown City Council approved an architectural agreement for the ExxonMobil Baytown Events Center and the Sterling Municipal Library renovation — including a $75 million economic development commitment tied to the new events center.

💧 City of Mont Belvieu: Understanding Your Recent Utility Bill
The City of Mont Belvieu has explained that recent utility bill increases are largely due to a sewer rate adjustment effective October 1, 2025, which aligned sewer rates with water rates to support infrastructure maintenance.
A typical household using about 7,000 gallons would see an increase of roughly $10 per month, with higher usage during October’s drought causing larger bills for some residents. Even with the adjustment, Mont Belvieu remains among the lower-cost utility providers in the region.
